Hello! I bought a mid-century Syroco 8-day wall clock. It was wound tight, for God knows how long, and wouldn't budge. Upon further inspections, I saw a gear tooth had bent over the years of pressure. I want to ask the community this: Can I file down the bent tooth and it just skip, or do I need to find a donor clock to pull the gear and spring from? I have done some research and it looks like donor clocks are hard to find. Does anyone have solutions? See picture for bent tooth.

I would probably look for another gear.

I would try posting over at the NAWCC forum, you could probably get another cut too. Might get expensive though?

Or check eBay for a cheap used movement?
